
Industrial Revolution Reflection
Answer Essential Questions:
1)How do people and their environment affect the development of economic systems?
People and their environment affect the development of economic systems by using their natural resources to invent new inventions. Britain was known as the land full of natural resources, such as iron and coal. The agriculture of the British economy had grown steadily growing during the 18th century. The natural resources growth is increasing in Britain and this lead them to have more opportunity for the economic system. There were new markets for production. People start working hard and put in their effort to earn their expectation. Due to the stability, peace and prosperity at home, the British were able to spread their production oversea. This affect the economic system to be better than before they started using their own goods to produce inventions.
2) How does what you learned connect to the real world?
In social studies class, We learned about the Industrial revolution and Capitalism. Industrial revolution took place from 18th to 19 centuries. Manufacturing has started and people started to produce new invention. I learned that Industrial revolution is development have took place in this period of time. Steam engine had changed the world since it was invented by James Watt. Steam engine is a engine thats uses the expansion or rapid condensation of steam to generate power. This topic connect to the real world because it really happened in the real world during the 18th to 19th centuries and Industrial revolution use child labor in factories. The product that was invented today was made because of this, the product that were invented were computers, cars, phone, basically almost everything.
3) How did you develop or grow as a student through this unit?
I grow as a student through this unit about Industrial revolution by using my responsibilities and my effort to work my best for the French Revolution story and I made a comic for it too. I completed my work on time and that’s being a student.
4) As you look at the work you have completed throughout this unit, what are you strengths?
I think that my strengths of this unit I have completed so far is that I’ve been doing a good job on the research about the Industrial revolution.
5) As you look at the work you have completed throughout this unit, what do you think you could improve?
I think that my weakness on this unit is that I have to record the debate about the pros and cons of Industrial revolution more clearly.
