1)How does an author's use of language add and/or transform meaning?
The author’s use of language including level of formality,level of sophistication of the vocabulary(word choice), tone and abstract adds and transform meaning of the passage. Technically, authors can adjust the language to a higher lever or more creative structure. The author could use tone to express the emotion of the character. Indeed, the use of word also help the author’s use of language adds meaning which it will make it fascinating while the readers read through their final piece of work. Particularly, author such as Shakespeare, one of the famous poetic author of the world. For an example of his work was the Star War: The new Hope play. The shakespeare's epic poetry often depicts significant the art of language with its creativeness from the perspective of William Shakespeare. He have been adjust each line from the original line from the movie to his own unique language. Contemporary movie with modern language is too mainstream. Here is an evidence of his work, Act I Scene 2 :“Thou overladen glob of grease, thou imp, ;Thou rubbish bucket fit for scrap, thou blue ;And silver pile of bantha dung! Now, come…”. Furthermore, as you can see from the evidence, you might notice there are abnormal word such as “Thou”. The translation of this word is “you”.
2)Is analytic thinking a necessary skill? Why or why not?
Analytic thinking is a necessary skill because it’s a critical element of visual thinking that gives the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively. But there are steps to be followed to be an successful analytic thinker. Considering the analytic thinker will involves the process of gathering appropriate information and identifying problems. Even more, this type of thinking also requires you to identify possible cause and effect of the issues, and draw relevant conclusions. Anyway, it can be broken down into 3 steps. First of all is to gather information of the topic you’re trying to improve it. Using necessary information to solve the problems. After gathering the important information, then it’s time to identify the issues and problems. When it comes to this, it’s important to have the ability to figure the problem and issues. Once you are ready with the issue, you must now organize the informations and problems, basically preparing to face the problems. Consequently, the problems are solved.
3)What do conversations about literature do for you?
Conversation about literature is a development about language art between teachers and students. Formal and informal language is one of the example of literature conversation. Formal language is mostly use in a serious situation but informal is more likely to be commonly use with the relax situation, basically having a conversation with your close people. Formal are common in writing but informal is more common when speaking. But sometimes informal can be use in writing. For an example, writing a postcard to a friend.
4)What makes a hero?
Heroes are people who transform from an ordinary person into heroic action . In doing so, they put their best selves forward in service to humanity. A hero is as an individual or a network of people that take action on behalf of others in need, or in defense of integrity or a moral cause. It could be that heroes have more compassion or empathy. However, the opposite side of a hero is a Evil, it be can be encourage by dehumanization, diffusion of responsibility, obedience to authority, unjust systems, group pressure, moral disengagement, and anonymity. Therefore, there are 2 factors that lead the character to perform as a hero, the circumstances they find themselves in, how they react to these circumstance.
Particularly, the Hero is an cycle, it start at a ordinary, but the quest passes through a special world. There are list of heroism that are used in story and movie to reveal the journey of the hero. First of all, is the call of adventure, the hero was in an ordinary world and was encourage by the quest to lead in to the special world. Subsequently, the refusal of the call, it is when the hero was fear to begin the challenge. Once the hero enter the quest, he/she will need assistance from the wise hero to guide them into the challenge, this called the MENTOR FIGURE/SUPERNATURAL AID. Next, is the departure, the hero crosses the threshold from his normal and safe home to a special world full of adventure and danger, being a hero is hard from escaping the trap, battle with the monster and much more hazard situation. Afterward, the test, allies and enemies face toward the hero. In hero journey, they can meet the goddess, which means the hero fall in love. Anyway, the next level is to approach the biggest enemy. Unluckily, some hero dies and the only way to pass the journey is to return back to life to fight for the world. Consequently, after all the adventure the hero passed, the hero finally return to the ordinary world. Many books and movie follow this formula to create an hero character.

How does what you learned connect to the real world?
This lesson that I’ve learned is connected to the real world because of the Shakespearean styled Star War: The new hope and the contemporary movie. Technically, both of it are exist in the real world. Furthermore, the hero’s journey is also used by numerous author to define the hero of the characters in the story.

On this evidence of my work on the Star War lesson was a essay of Shakespeare's styled VS contemporary movie of “ The Star War: The new Hope. Particularly, my thoughts on this essay was about how Shakespearean styled is more essential than the contemporary movie version. Specifically, I explained the type of language are used in each version, the movie uses modern language while the play uses Shakespearean language. Shakespearean language was adjusted so the meaning is changed and it emphasize the situation of the story.
