Art & Book Week for Berkeley Times, Quarter 2

I learned about designing posters for Berkeley Times and Yearbook by using the program called “ Indesign”. Throughout the year, I’ve been collected knowledges on designing with Indesign. For an examples, such as learning using the principle of designing to create a professional work, alignment, proximity, repetition, contrast, and white space. Additionally, this year I also learned new things such as cutting out photos, I cutted out the photos for specialist teachers to place in each Berkley’s 2015 Yearbook. However, I chose to design for art, Valentine’s day, Book Week, Spelling bee and more for this year’s spread, Berkeley Times, and Berkeley’s Yearbook. Anyway, inspirations and color palettes have leads me to a effective accomplish design.
How I grow as a Designer
I’ve grown as a designer throughout the year by comfortable using an extraordinary and absorbing inspirations to lead me and follow their fascinating ideas to create my design. Inspirations builds my expectations to a higher point where I can improve myself and accomplishing a professional work. I notice that each of my designs, I’ve seen many improvements and overall, the layout and colors have improved so much and my 4th quarter designs looks so much more professional than my 1st quarter designs. Particularly, color palettes also made me grow as a designer, as it remind me to use good use of repetition based in color. A professional designer must use principle elements of designs which are alignment, proximity, repetition, contrast, and white space, These elements made me grow
as a designer.
