Reflection#1: Analyzing Plot, Setting and Moods
Essential Questions:
-
Which stories are worth reading?
Stories that I find worth reading should contain a very strong suspense, interesting plot, and must be entertaining. The stories must be heart touching and deep enough to touch the reader’s heart. It must be fascinating and extraordinary, this mean the story plot must not be stereotyping or too typical story line. Playing with word is also a idea to build the worthfull of the story, it could make the story from a boring story to a story that sounds interesting.
-
What if everyone were the same?
If everyone were the same in intelligence, talents, appearance, and strength, then this can cause people to feel and act boring. This can cause them not to get along with together because they have the same level of skill, there will be no more entertaining and new personal idea, which end up a boring life. There are some disadvantage and advantage. The advantage is that there will be no bullying and judging other people since everyone is the same in appearance, talents and strength. The disadvantage could be that life would be so boring and mainstream because the intelligence skill is the same level as everybody else and there will be no more new ideas.
-
What makes something valuable
I think that making something valuable is when something is worthfull and have made goods to itself. Valuable products must be useful in different ways. Usefulness change value depending on the situations. Some object people believe it’s value but some it’s your personal thought if it’s valuable to yourself.
-
Should you trust your instincts?
Yes, I suppose to say because it’s what you’re born with and instinct is natural. It is pre programmed behaviour, that is usually linked to survival where it is necessary to have certain instincts. Trusting your instinct can give you higher chance to survive in a dangerous situation. Instinct is trying to tell you naturally of what you have to do to survive. Instinct is build in behavior and it’s a natural reaction. You can succeed by trusting your own instincts because it’s what how you react to fear and tell you automatically what to do.
-
How can we achieve the impossible?
We can achieve the impossible by putting effort to yourself or the expectations. Believing in yourself can lead you to meet your impossible expectation as you try your hard. If we are being patience and try your best, then this will help change the word from “impossible” to the word “possible”. To achieve impossible, we must first understand the word “impossible”. Nothing is impossible, even though you tried your best to succeed for your expectations. But anyway, impossibility only exist when there are lack of intelligence, knowledge, and experience.
-
What keeps you on the edge of your seat?
Keeping the story plot interesting, you must be using suspense, entertaining plot, and ideas to keep up the suspense. Creating more and more suspense can build the entertainment in the viewers that keeps them on the edge of the seat. Keeping you on the edge of the seat is when an audience views movie and it is very exciting and you want to know what is going to happen next. Adding sound effect can also help creating suspense.
