The Pitch

  • Authority we have contacted:

Luckily, Natalie and I contacted the most convenient person, Margarethe, the supporter of Dream of a Future. We asked her briefly about painting a mural at the charity. For instance, one of the questions is “Have the the Samrong nursery concern about their nursery environment is not inviting enough for children?” and she answered yes. However, some part of the Samrong Nursery building have currently painted plain. Margarethe reported us that there is still some part of the building that still need improvement because of it is anunappealing wall.

  • The Interview:

On Friday 12th, 2016, I, Natalie, Mrs.Kelly and Toby went to visit the Samrong Nursery across Bearing. Natalie and I went there to talk with Yohan, one of the supporters there. We discuss what area they want to be painted and we explained our initial design. He told us that he is excited to have the Samrong Nursery to be painted. Anyway, we also measured the scale of the walls so we can convert the measurements into Illustrator.

  • The Pitch:

Natalie and I did our pitch for our 20-time project to the Grade 8,9,10. We told the audiences about our goals, anxieties, plans and what we did already throughout the plan. We visited the nursery to take a look with Yohan and measuring the scale. After that, Natalie designed the initial sketch on Illustrator. Also, we already fund enough money from the bake sale for the paints and supplies. And the next step is we will (volunteers: students that are not going to the KPIS music competition) be cleaning the wall on Friday 26th.

  • How far have you come and what points will you be making in your pitch to your fellow students?

Our 20-time project has the reach to the point where we contact the authority for our 1st step in this project. Luckily, the Samrong Nursery still need improvement in their facility, which we can help them improve their education environment.

  • Questions still need answered and concerns

Our questions before we contact Margarethe and Yohan are will we fund enough money for the supplies and will the nursery like our design. We funded enough money from the bake sale and thank you to the student council for letting us fundraise money from their events. We still didn’t show our design to the Samrong Nursery yet. But, we will email of our initial sketch as soon as possible. After we interviewed our project to the nursery, we still have concerns like will we really have enough paint.
